To promote their new sci-fi series, “Colony,” at Comic-Con in San Diego, USA Networks wanted to give folks a lift. Their plan was to partner with Uber and provide rides to attendees to and from their hotels in specially customized vehicles, and they asked Aardvark, the experiential marketing experts, to make it happen.
We rounded up 10 super cool military-style vehicles from all over the country, transported them to San Diego, and then printed and installed “Colony” graphics on them from custom templates we created. We also provided skilled drivers, special insurance coverage, and an executive producer who coordinated all of the daily activities.
To be on the safe side, we even brought in a highly skilled mechanic with tools and spare parts just in case one of these vintage vehicles broke down. None did, so their experiential marketing program all went off without a hitch.
